Americana/Bluegrass/Texas Dirt Country entertainer Jimmy Bowen is a highly acclaimed musician, singer, and songwriter.
His years in the music industry have garnered him high praise and respect from his fans and music industry peers.
Bowen’s current single, “Red Line” is currently climbing the Texas Country Music charts.
Bowen’s last single, “Second Hand Smoke” recently hit #35 on the Texas Country Music charts and is now available through all streaming platforms and digital outlets and can be found on Spotify, Apple, iTunes, Amazon, and Google Play.
He is from Charlotte, NC and became involved in music by the time he was 5 years old.
Bowen has been creating music for over 3 decades and has toured internationally with some of the most well-known names in Bluegrass music including Charlie Waller and the Country Gentlemen, and David Parmley and the Continental Divide.
Bowen has had the opportunity to share the stage with country legends including Earl Thomas Conley, Eddy Raven, Joe Diffie, John Anderson, John Conley, John Schneider, Josh Turner, Little Jimmy Dickens, and Mel Tillis.
Bowen has performed at the White House for George W. Bush, Sr. and at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C.
Bowen was inducted into the Old Time Country Music Hall of Fame in October 2019.
Acting has become a creative outlet for Bowen as he has been cast for various series, dramas, and commercials all while working with some of the biggest names in television including Michael Rooker, (Days of Thunder, Cliffhanger), Adam Arkin (Chicago Hope), John Hawkes (The Perfect Storm movie with George Clooney). Mary Steenburgen, (Philadelphia, the movie).
Bowen was also a featured actor in Toby Keith’s “Hope on the Rocks” video, and in the drama-filled ABC- TV hit series TV show Nashville.
He is currently in the studio working on new music to be released later this year.
