Listen HERE.

"I Ain't Gonna Live Like That" is already garnering attention from industry professionals and fans alike. It catapulted to the #1 radio download spot on CD TEX's Top 10 Broadcast Downloads upon release. The song perfectly reflects Bowen's traditional country and bluegrass roots, boasts his signature high harmonies, and features the nostalgic sound of a pedal steel guitar. This song was co-written by Nashville multi-award-winning hit tunesmiths Jim McBride and Jerry Salley. It was produced by Bowen, Donnie Clark (Pure Prairie League), and Craig Fletcher and was engineered, mixed, and mastered by Tony Cottrill. "I Ain't Gonna Live Like That" is currently available on all digital and streaming platforms.

"I Ain't Gonna Live Like That" offers a simple yet powerful and encouraging message. The lyrics serve as a reminder that, although everyone makes mistakes and has regrets, life is short and it is up to us to decide if we are going to dwell on the past or move on.

"A good friend of mine, music publisher Sherrill Blackman, sent me this song, adds Bowen. "As soon as I heard it, I fell in love with it! The lyrics reflect how I like to live; you go through life making mistakes, having regrets, and even getting into trouble...but you don't dwell on it, you let it go, move forward and stay positive! Reminding yourself, 'I ain't gonna live like that ...anymore!'"

"Mistakes, I've made a few
The kind you can't undo
Said I'm sorry 'til I was blue in the face
Regrets, I've hauled around
Weighed a ton if they weighed a pound
Enough to drag ol' Superman down
Man, I had to make a change

I ain't gonna live like that
I'm rollin' like a freight train
Down a different track
I could spend my whole life a-lookin' back
But I ain't, I ain't gonna live like that

The past has had her say
That's why they call it yesterday
No more standin' in my way
I won't turn around
You can change the way you live
The only trouble is
You'll find a few who won't forget
And that's their problem now

Chorus

I could sit around and worry, but I don't
And I could keep on askin' for forgiveness, but I won't..."
